Managed to make it 26.2 on Saturday in 3:43:35. A pretty good run for me. I was through the half in about 1:50 and thought I could run a sub 3:40 but at mile 15 my left knee started to really hurt and it took all my energy just to keep going to the end.
I'll take an 8:35 pace this time, next time I'll shoot for an 8:15 pace.
If you are interested in running a great marathon I'd recommend Richmond. It bills itself as "America's Friendliest Marathon" and the course support was fantastic considering they only had 3,800 runners.
